Hire a motorhome (all are non-smoking vehicles)

2, 5 and 6 berth motorhome hire

It's a great way to introduce yourself to the fun and independence of owning a motorhome.

It's also a great way to have a holiday, travelling to where you want - when you want. There are no time-tables to keep, or airports to check into.

Vehicles are available for WEEKEND HIRE, subject to availability.

NEW VEHICLES

2, 5 and 6 berth motorhome hire All hire vans are new models designed on turbo-diesel engines. Each is fully prepared by our own staff and is equipped with:

  • Bike rack
  • TV Aerial
  • TV

All vehicles have built-in:

    2, 5 and 6 berth motorhome hire
  • Fridge
  • Cooker
  • Toilet
  • Shower
  • Storage Facilities
  • Cooking Utensils

HIRER'S AGE: All hirers MUST be over 25 years of age (and under 70).

2, 5 and 6 berth motorhome hire VAN DRIVERS: Drivers MUST have held a current driving licence for a minimum of two years. Drivers with convictions and/or penalty points on a licence may be charged an additional premium.

HIRE DEPOSIT: To book a vehicle simply complete a booking form, or telephone us and advise Simpsons of your motorhome hire dates.

A deposit of £100 is payable at the time of confirming acceptance of your hire contract. The balance of your motorhome hire fee is payable six weeks before the hire date.

2, 5 and 6 berth motorhome hire

VEHICLE COLLECTION: When collecting the motorhome we will have to register.

Certain personal details on our Hire Records.

Please carry your current driving licence when collecting the vehicle from Simpsons. A deposit of £500 damage waiver will be payable upon collection of your motorhome. The balance of your motorhome hire fee is payable six weeks before the hire date.

HAND-OVER DEMONSTRATION: Simpsons Motorhome Hire staff will guide you through all vehicle appliances and their usage, including: 2, 5 and 6 berth motorhome hire

  • Electrics
  • Gas Appliances
  • Water System
  • Toilet System
  • Cab Instrument Panel

Enclosed in the cab will be the vehicle's Instruction Manuals, which are supplied so you can refer to any operational procedure when arriving at a campsite.

FUEL: All motorhome hire vehicles are supplied with a full tank of fuel,

PETS: Simpsons maintain a policy of NO PETS ALLOWED in any of our motorhome HIRE VEHICLES.

YOU MUST SUPPLY:

  • All bedding and pillows
  • Food and drink
  • Fuel replacement

WE SUPPLY: Cutlery, crockery, fuel (to be replaced), and gas.

Driving Licence for Motor Caravans

Under NEW government legislation, motorists are advised:

  • Any motorist who PASSED his or her category B car driving test after 1st January, 1997 cannot LEGALLY DRIVE a vehicle of GROSS WEIGHT exceeding 3500 kilograms or a minibus with more than 8 seats. This will include certain motorhomes on HIRE from Simpsons Motor Caravan Centre.
  • Additionally, any person over 70 years of age must apply to the DVLA in Swansea to drive the same classes of vehicle they are eligible to drive with their existing licence. This too could also affect certain elderly personnel planning to HIRE a motor caravan from ourselves.
  • Please be advised our own HIRE PERSONNEL - if in doubt - will respectfully ask a HIRING HOLIDAYMAKER if they might fall into either category and, if yes, refuse them driving status.

We hope you appreciate we cannot breach driving licence regulations when offering to the members of the public our motor caravans for hire. Thank you for understanding our position.
